Top 11 Neckband Headphones You Can Buy Now

These are the best Neckband headsets very carefully curated and picked after using them for weeks and months.

Let’s dive in and see how each of them comes out in overall performance.

1. boAt Rockerz 255 Pro+– Best of Overall Neckband Headphones

boAt Rockerz 255 Pro+ Bluetooth Neckband Headphone

Delivers very good sound quality. Neckband is worth the value for money. Delivers good battery life. Water and sweat resistance with IPX7 rating. You can connect 2 devices at the same time.

Yeah… yeah. This is on top of the list of my 11 best neckband headphones. The boAt Rockerz 255 Pro+ is the ultimate earphone for me.

The company claims the in-ear headphone has 40 hours of playtime. But it delivered over 38 hours of playtime including voice calls and video calls. And that’s very good battery life. Isn’t it?

The boAt has been enjoying the largest pie of share in the audio market segment over a few years and is still the leader. All credit to its very popular known delivery of sound quality and great bass.

The IPX7 rated sweat and water resistance functionality performed quite well for me to protect the earphone from sweat and light drizzle.

Another feature that caught my eyeballs is its fast charge feature. I managed to play and listen to music for about 8 hours after 10 hours of charging. It indeed sounds very good.

The boAt Rockerz 255 Pro plus neckband headphones are equipped with control buttons for smooth and easy access to multiple functions. The magnetic earbuds deliver tangle-free listening and user experience.

I did use these earphones in a couple of outdoor activities and traveling and commuting. And these headphones did fine for isolating external noise.

Neither did I find any major lag when it comes to the delivery of sound and bass. The headsets are equipped with 10mm audio drivers.

However, a few downsides that could be improved is dual pairing and mic quality. But again these a minor issues.

The boAt Rockerz 255 is well built, lightweight, and comfortable to wear. I would be happier, had the earphone had a little thicker and shorter wire quality because of my height. I am a short man.

The silicon ear tip and 120˚ tangle ear canal give a great wear experience. These are designed to deliver comfort to use for a longer period.

All being said, the overall performance of the boAt Rockerz 255 neckband is impressive. Therefore, this is on top of the list of 11 top picks.

Pros
  • Good sound and bass quality
  • Fast charge features
  • Good battery life
  • Good design, light-weight and comfortable
Cons
  • Dual connectivity can be improved
  • Mic quality could be improved
  • Certain genres may lose clarity in high volume

2. Sony WI XB400– Neckband Headphones with Great Sound Quality

Sony WI-XB400 Wireless Extra Bass in-Ear Headphones

Sony WI XB400 neckband headphones deliver good sound. The neckbands deliver very good call quality. They have impressive bass for bass enthusiasts. They are portable earphones with 15 hours of battery life.

I bought a pair of Sony WI XB400 neckband headphones to gift my sister on her birthday. And I am pretty impressed with their delivery of sound quality and bass.

The Sony WI-XB400 are very good earphones for everyday use whether you love them for music or otherwise.

After using these in-ear headphones for a month, I am of the view that despite being marketed to fans of the deep bass genre, the overall sound profile is relatively balanced.

But I also submit that I didn’t feel much lag in the boom. That’s fine!

They offer great battery life that lasts all day for me and it should last for you also.

What makes me a little annoyed is that I am not quite able to make customization with Sony’s Headphones Connect app. And this is a compatibility issue.

The company is popular for making noise-canceling headphones. But I felt the noise isolation quality is not what I expected the Sony to deliver.

That said the Sony WI-XB400 is a solid choice for anyone looking for a pair of decent wireless headphones with a good bass kick.

I used these neckband earphones a couple of times for outings. And the Sony WI-XB400 is great for sports and other outdoor activities.

They are highly portable and strong enough for most sports.

Considering these are earbuds, ventilation shouldn’t be an issue, and the in-line remote is easy to use, but can be a bit annoying as they tend to bounce with sharp movements.

The Sony WI-XB400 earphones are good for commuting and traveling. These are comfortable to wear for long periods of time and have good battery life.

However, the sound insulation is disappointing. It can isolate you from the noise around you, but it can’t block out certain low noises.

The Sony WI-XB400 are good headphones for serious listening. As I already said, despite being branded with added bass, the overall sound signature is fairly balanced.

The bass quality for me is tight and punchy without being overbearing. But it’s not a burning sound.

I know, these are closed-in-ear headphones, so don’t expect they don’t have a great soundstage.

Since I spend a significant time in the office, I recommend the Sony WI-XB400 headphones are fine for office use.

These can be worn for long periods of time without discomfort and has excellent midrange sound isolation that is good at blocking out ambient noise.

Pros
  • Good delivery of audio
  • Smooth connectivity with Bluetooth
  • Light-weight and comfortable
  • Delivers good battery life
  • Suitable neckband for bass enthusiasts
Cons
  • Low noise blocking is poor
  • Sweat or water resistance feature missing
  • Compatibility issue with Sony’s Connect App
  • In-line remote tends to bounce back sharply

3. Oneplus Bullets Z2– Neckband Headphones with Great Bass Boost

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC Bluetooth in Ear Earphones

The Oneplus Bullets Z2 delivers over 30 hours of battery life. The neckband headphones have excellent bass. The IP55 rated design ensures protection from sweat and water. The earphones have bass-boosted signature sound.

I used both the Oneplus Bullets Z2 and its outgoing sibling the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z. Coming straight to the design, The OnePlus Bullets Z2 looks very similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus Bullets Z.

The new neckband headphones come in two color variants Magico Black and Beam Blue. I purchased the Magico Black color.

The in-ear headphones feature a contemporary neckband style design. Like most earbuds in this category, the OnePlus Bullets Z2 consists of two parts.

First, a silicone neckband and plastic tip with a volume rocker. And the second, control buttons, and a USB-C connector.

The earbuds are connected to the neckband with a rubber-coated wire. The device is very light and weighs only about 23 grams.

The neck tape fits comfortably on the collar without any discomfort or irritation. It feels pretty sturdy, so you don’t have to worry about durability.

The OnePlus Bullets Z2 neckband headphones are made from a combination of matte and glossy plastic.

OnePlus offers three pairs of different-sized earbuds in the box. Like the neckband, the earbuds are also comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

The earbuds have an IP55 rating, making them highly water and dust-resistant. You can also use the touch function on the earbuds to answer/reject calls and control the output.

I am very impressed with the performance of the headphones. Even at high volumes, I didn’t notice any explicit distortion.

The bass is punchy, and the headphones do justice to the mids and lows. The vocals were crisp and each instrument had the depth to it.

From hip-hop to jazz, headphones deliver an impressive performance.

One disadvantage that disappointed me is the OnePlus Bullets Z2 doesn’t have active noise cancellation. But I am okay with it because it’s hardly noticeable.

The OnePlus Bullets Z2 neckbands feature a USB Type-C charging port. It takes about 20 minutes to fully charge the device.

OnePlus claims the 200mAh battery in the headphones delivers up to 30 hours of playtime on a single charge. But I did manage even better.

The OnePlus Bullets Z2 comes with a built-in mic for calls. The earphones use AI scene model algorithms to adjust the level of noise cancellation for calls, delivering crystal clear audio on the go or at the gym.

It also features Quick Pair and Quick Switch functions for a quick and smooth connection with other devices.

Pros
  • The neckband delivers punchy bass
  • IP55 provides resistance from dust, water, sweat
  • Good battery life with fast charge feature
  • Light-weight and comfortable to wear
Cons
  • The neckband doesn’t have noise canceling
  • High volume is not suitable for all
  • Limited overall features

4. Realme Buds– Neckband Headphones for Best Music Experience

realme Buds Wireless 3 in-Ear Bluetooth Headphones

The Realme Buds Wireless delivers the best music experience. The earphones deliver mesmerizing sound and rich bass. The neckband headphones are light and comfortable to wear. The in-earphones offer 12 hours of battery life.

Here you go what I have to say about the Realme Buds neckband headphones.

The headphones deliver rich sound with thumping bass, great battery life, and comfort.

At first look, you might get illuded that the Realme Buds wirelesses are a rebranded Oppo Enco headset or a new color scheme of the OnePlus Bullets.

However, this is not really the case.  This is a completely different device and that’s why I am putting together my experience here.

Opening up the box and holding the neckband in my hand- what really impressed me is the Realme Buds Wireless has a flexible silica gel arc and also a nickel-titanium alloy for the buttons and battery area.

I am very happy to see the responsive Realme branded button in the middle of the volume. Just press it to answer the call.

Realme may also dismay you because it doesn’t offer a great noise-canceling solution, which can cause problems when using your phone outdoors. That’s fine for me.

I didn’t find any lag inside. These devices act as very good companions for outdoor activities. So, I take them to the park when I go for a walk.

All casual runners will have no problem with arches, neck sitting, or real buds. The earphones are IPX4 rated for sweat and dust protection.

Realme promised 12 hours of playback on a full charge, and it was delivered. You can easily listen to music for half a day via Bluetooth.

However, I achieved this when the volume was around 80%. At 100% maximum volume, sound transmission is very loud and deaf in the long run.

Even moderately noisy environments can be uncomfortable for those around you. Another reason the headphones feel comfortable is that the silicone earbuds are very soft and fit snugly in the ears.

There are extra wingtips that are great for training. The wings fit into shallow pits in the ears, and the buds stay firmly in place even when you sharply move your head.

Realme Buds Wireless are easy to connect, easy to use, and deliver a comfortable all-around sound.

Pros
  • Deliver a very good music experience
  • Earphones have good sound and punchy bass
  • Light-weight and comfortable design
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • Poor noise cancellation
  • Full volume is not suitable for all
  • Could have provided better water resistance

5. Redmi Sonicbass– Neckband Headphones with Good MIC at budget

Redmi Sonic BASS Wireless in Ear Earphones

Redmi Sonicbass delivers very good dual MIC quality. There is noticeable background noise cancellation. Dual connectivity lets you connect 2 devices simultaneously. Neckband headphones have good bass and 12 hours of playtime.

When I got this pair of Redmi Sonicbass neckband headphones from my office colleague in exchange for my Oneplus Bullets Z2, I felt the design was just fine.

Frankly, I didn’t find a lot to talk about the Redmi SonicBass Wireless neckband. The neckband bends back and has a large, sturdy end that houses Bluetooth hardware, battery, and audio circuitry.

The left side has a barely noticeable Redmi logo engraved on it, while the right side has the power and volume buttons along with a micro USB charging port, and an indicator light.

The earphones were comfortable to wear, but the cables running between the earbuds and the neckband got in the way and brushed my face, and created ample cable noise.

The main button plays and pauses music or answers and ends calls with a single touch. You can call the standard voice assistant on your smartphone with a double press.

A long press will turn the headphones on and off. To put the headphones in pairing mode, I had to hold the device for a few more seconds.

There is an effective control that sticks and holds the earbuds stick to each other. This prevents the wires from getting tangled when not in use.

The device itself suggests that the Redmi Sonicbass is made to deliver sound and a mic. And indeed, there are no surprises here.

The sound signature has been tuned to add pop to the low end, I could detect this bass distortion in almost everything I heard through the Redmi SonicBass earbuds.

However, there is not much to get overexcited in the sound other than a bump in the bass. Otherwise, this is a normal-sounding headphone.

Certainly, you don’t need to shell out big bucks. The Redmi SonicBass only supports the SBC Bluetooth codec, so the quality of the source audio had little effect on the listening experience.

In my opinion, Xiaomi did a very good job with Redmi SonicBass. This is a pair of fully functional wireless headphones that get all basics right.

I feel the fit and design are practical, the powerful bass is appealing. And I am sure, it will appeal to you too.

The multi-point connectivity makes the headset more convenient. All in all, there are only a few minor drawbacks.

Pros
  • Delivers good sound and great bass
  • Mic quality is good for the price point
  • Dual connectivity
  • Decent battery life
  • Smooth control functionalities
Cons
  • Average design and feel
  • Unpleasant cable noise
  • Mid needs improvement
  • Absence of a charger in the box

6. Noise Flair– Neckband Headphones with Smooth and Fast Connectivity

Noise Flair Bluetooth Wireless in Ear Earphones

Noise Flair neckband headphones deliver an impressive design. These headphones have smooth and fast connectivity. These in-ear headsets are equipped with 10mm audio drivers. They deliver 35 hours of playtime on a single charge.

Yeah, Buddies! You got it. If you are looking for a smart neckband headphone with smooth and fast connectivity, go no further. Pick up the Noise Flair neckband.

As a gizmo enthusiast, I love trying new devices that the market. My curiosity increased twofold when I first saw the wireless earphone with my friend.

What struck me at the first sight was its design. The design is really appealing and loved to take note of it.

I actually saw many neckbands for quite some time. However, none of these seemed as attractive and elegant, and top class as this one.

I understand the manufacturers don`t appear to pay a lot of heed to the layout of the neckbands. But it appears Noise put a lot of effort into Flair neckband’s layout.

There is an excellent combination of colors that delivers the splendor of the neckband. There are six color variants you can choose from.

I got a pair of stone blue for testing and to share the best user experience with my readers and viewers.

The Noise Flair earphones have a very good battery life of 35 hours. This is an excellent playtime they offer.

However, there is a catch, the actual playtime I could manage is over 34 hours on a single charge. Interestingly, I really don’t remember correctly when I did charge the headphones last time.

In addition, the earphone features fast charge capabilities. I could fully charge the in-ear headsets in just over one hour. This is very impressive in the neckband headphones segment.

The neckband earphones are equipped with 10m audio divers. These are excellently designed to deliver great bass output.

Lovely!

But it also has a downside. The bass sound is good to listen up to the volume of 50 percent. To test the efficacy, I increased the volume to the maximum.

At this level, the sound gets squeaky and gives an unpleasant listening experience. Therefore, listening to music at full volume may not very good experience.

The earbuds are made with premium silicon material. This makes them very comfortable to wear even for a whole day.

Microphones did a very good job as long I was using the headphones indoors. But these are not very good at isolating external noise.

In totality, the microphone quality is good and did a fair job for me.

Pros
  • The overall design is very appealing
  • Fast and very smooth connectivity
  • Very good battery life
  • Made with premium silicone material for a comfortable fit
Cons
  • Bass quality starts distorting at a high volume
  • The power button is missing from the controls
  • There are other options for balanced sound quality

7. Boult Audio ProBass– Extra Bass Neckband Headphones

Boult Audio ZCharge Wireless in Ear Bluetooth Neckband

Boult Audio Probass delivers very good bass. These headphones come with IPX5 water-resistant technology. They deliver fast smooth wireless transmission with Bluetooth 5.0. Performed well in terms of call quality.

I don’t feel the design and build of the Boult Audio ProBass is very exceptional. It looks average build. The plastic material used feels a little cheap for me.

But I am okay with it because it’s a bass lover’s choice. The neckband headphones are available in a multiple color variants., red/black, red/blue, or completely black.

The neckband is very flexible and will return to its original shape even if it is twisted or bent too hard.

The earbuds are attached to a wire that runs along the neckband for a latitude adjustment. The ends of the neckband terminate in two plastic modules where there are battery and playback controls.

The left module has a flap-covered micro USB port, a microphone, a battery LED, and three buttons for power and volume control.

I didn’t notice vibration motor for the alarm with this model, as I saw in the old Curb model. The ProBass Curve drivers are equipped with neodymium magnets.

The Boult Audio ProBass neckband headset is powered by Qualcomm’s CSR8635 Bluetooth chip that uses Bluetooth 5 to connect to the source device.

It supports Qualcomm’s cVc noise cancellation technology for voice calls. The in-ear headsets deliver multi-point connectivity, allowing ProBass to be paired with two devices simultaneously.

However, in certain occasions I have to struggle because the headphones don’t connect to the second device. Also, the range of frequencies the device can handle is no clearly defined.

The earphone has IPX5 rated moisture and sweat resistance feature. This works perfectly well.

The Boult ProBass Curve tuned to deliver punchy bass, and this is one area where it performs exceptionally well.

I am impressed that there is no distortion even at high volumes. Vocals are rich and always sound like they’re coming from front and center.

The midrange is generally decent, but complex tracks are overwhelming the highs and lows overwhelm many of the background instruments.

The highs sounded a bit squeaky when volume increased to the maximum. But this isn’t a consistent issue on other tracks.

The call quality is pretty good too. Even in a noisy environment, I had no issues with my voice and the person on other end.

The passive noise isolation from the earbuds is very good but there is a little leakage when the volume is increased up to near maximum level, say 80%.

Pros
  • The earphones deliver punchy bass
  • It’s equipped with IPX5 rate sweat and water resistance
  • Light and comfortable fit for long s use
  • Offer good battery life
  • Value for money
Cons
  • Call quality starts leaking at maximum volume
  • Looks average build with plastic material
  • Bluetooth range is not clearly defined
  • Squeaky sound when increased to maximum

Noise Newly Launched Xtreme in-Ear Wireless Neckband

Noise Xtreme delivers over 100 hours of playtime. Its dual airing allows you to connect 2 devices simultaneously. The neckband headphones feature IPX5 rated water resistance. There is smooth connectivity with Bluetooth 5.2 version.

When Noise launched the Xtreme neckband headphones in India, I was very excited to get a taste of them.

The Noise Xtreme neckbands come with 10mm drivers and feature Hyper Sync technology that can automatically connect the neckband to the last paired device when both earbuds are disconnected.

I am completely impressed that Noise’s all-new neckband features ambient noise isolation technology that filters out background noise.

These neckbands come in three different color options that you can choose from and are IPX5 rated water resistant.

Noise also claims that the device offers over 100 hours of playtime and is reasonably priced.

The Noise Xtreme Bluetooth Neckband is powered by 10mm drivers and features ambient noise cancellation technology to eliminate background noise and improve sound quality.

Noise’s all-new neckband supports Bluetooth v5.2 and supports IPX5 waterproof protection. These Noise neckbands also have a dual pairing feature, allowing users to pair two devices and switch between them.

According to Noise, the Noise Xtreme Bluetooth Neckband can play for over 100 hours on a single charge when played at 70% volume with up to 500 hours of standby time.

The neckbands also come with the trademarked Instacharge feature, which provides 20 hours of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging.

I wore these headsets for some time, these are very light weighing around 30 grams.

Pros
  • Excellent battery life
  • IPX5 rated feature does its job well
  • Light-weight and comfortable
  • Dual pairing to connect 2 devices at the same time
Cons
  • Headphones don’t have aptX and LDAC support
  • These are not meant for gaming
  • Sound quality still could be improved

9. boAt Rockerz 255 Neo– Best Affordable Neckband Headphones

boAt Rockerz 255 Neo in-Ear Bluetooth Neckband

Best neckband headphones for your budget. boAt Rockerz 255 Neo delivers 25 hours of battery life. Its dual pairing feature lets you connect 2 devices at the same time. The neckband is equipped with 12mm drivers and IPX6 rating.

If you are looking for a budget neckband that delivers all-round performance, boAt Rockerz 255 Neo is a good option.

Boat Rockerz 255 Neo neckband headphones are made with soft silicone material. This gives very comfort to the listener. You can wear earphones and won’t irritate you even after long hours of use.

These neckband earbuds have magnetic on/off functionality. This lets the earphones turn off when stick with each other and turn on when these detached apart.

The ear hook design with the headphones ensures a secure fit for outdoor activities; workouts, running, gym, exercise, yoga, and other sports activities.

The Boat Rockerz 255 Neo features IPX6 rated water and sweat resistance to protect the neckband from splash and sweat.

The left side of the neckband earbuds has only the boat logo, while the right side of the neckband earbuds has the button controls, battery indicator, and charging port.

Overall, the design, comfort, and build quality look slightly better than its predecessor, the boAt Rockerz 255, and boAt Rockerz 255 Pro.

boAt Rockerz 255 Neo is powered by v5.2 Bluetooth with a connectivity range of 10m. It has a Type-C charging port.

It is interesting to see the integration of ENx technology with the neckband for a better call experience.

The company claims boAt Rockerz 255 Neo is packed with a beast mode feature to enhance the gaming experience. But, frankly speaking, I didn’t feel that punch.

But that doesn’t take away the good things it offers.

If you are interested to test the beast mode, press the middle button (MFB) twice to enter beast mode.

Since I switch over my device very frequently, the dual connectivity feature comes in very handy for me. The 12mm audio drivers deliver good sound for the price tag.

If you are a bass enthusiast, the boAt Rockerz 255 Neo neckbands are just fine. I must this not unpleasant.

All in all, these are good neckband headphones with lots of specs and features.

If you are a little short on budget but like to own good neckband headphones, boAt Rockerz 255 Neo is a very good affordable option.

Pros
  • Best option for an affordable budget
  • Very good battery life
  • Decent audio quality
  • Dual connectivity and Bluetooth range
Cons
  • I
  • Average bass
  • Beast mode doesn’t deliver as claimed
  • Needs improvement for noise cancellation

10. OPPO Enco M32– Neckband Headphones with Good Call Quality

OPPO Enco M32 Neckband Headphone

OPPO Enco M32 neckbands deliver very good call quality. The neckband headsets have 28 hours of life. These in-ear headphones deliver 20 hours of music with 10 minutes charge. These are equipped with IP55 water, dust, and sweat resistant.

The Oppo Enco M32 neckband headphones are a very good option if your priority is call quality.

The design makes a statement with a subtly understated aesthetic that focuses on comfort and ease of use. It is black only and has the Oppo logo on the left neckband module.

Like most headsets of this form factor, the neckband is flexible and can be twisted significantly without much risk of getting it snapped or broken.

The headset is also dust and water-resistant with an IP55 rating. Thanks to the canal fit, the earbuds are very comfortable to wear.

The Oppo Enco M32 neckband also provides a reasonable noise isolation seal. There is a pre-installed removable rubber grip Inside each earpiece to hold your inner ear in place while you’re wearing the headset.

I am pretty impressed to see these can be removed for cleaning. I believe this is a very very smart design choice of work

The glossy finish on the outer portion of the earbuds and the reflective silver magnet zone looks pretty decent.

The package I received includes 3 pairs of silicone ear tips and a USB Type-C charging cable. But no extra ear grips.

The Oppo Enco M32’s focus is on getting the basics right, and the headset is very good when it comes to sound quality and voice call performance.

The AAC Bluetooth codec support does its job quite well. And I didn’t encounter any connection stability issues while using the headset.

These neckband headsets can get quite loud and were comfortable indoors even at an average volume.

When I turned the in-ear headsets to around 60% volume, I felt there was a little more attack on the sound.

However, setting it above that, it tended to become uncomfortably loud or a little distorted or weak to the sound.

The sound is energetic and lively, and the earphones deliver a comfortable fit and have good battery life.

Fast charging is a particularly handy and useful feature. Though the company claims 20 hours of playtime with 10 minutes charge, I managed to get a little over 17 hours.

The outdoor performance of the Enco M32 is as impressive as talked about. The Sound lacks detail and call quality is a little spotty outdoors.

But overall the headset delivers what you can expect at this price tag.

Pros
  • Provides very good battery life
  • Good design and comfortable
  • Good indoor call quality
  • IP55 rated water, dust, and sweat resistant
Cons
  • Average outdoor call quality
  • Increased bass loses details
  • Overwhelming bass at max volume

11. Sennheiser CX 120BT– Most Comfortable Neckband Headphones

Sennheiser CX 80S in-Ear Wired Headphones

Sennheiser CX 120BT delivers comfort for wearing. Neckbands are equipped with aptX and SBC codecs. The headsets provide a mediocre 6 hours of battery life. These earphones have intuitive control buttons.

The Sennheiser CX 120BT headphones are my favorites. I am generally enthusiastic about Sennheiser audio products and their sound quality.

When I learned about the launch of the affordable CX-120BT wireless headphones, I was pretty excited

I realized the company was cutting across certain features to keep the price down, but I’m sure its support for Qualcomm’s aptX codec was a welcome addition in this segment.

Normally the headphone makers don’t provide more than 6 months or at the best more than 1 year’s warranty.

Interestingly the Sennheiser CX 120BT offers a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Lovely! I am sure you would love it too!

The Sennheiser CX-120BT has a slightly different look compared to most wireless neckbands on the market.

There is one earbud and battery module on one end, and a second earbud and control case on the other end.

The two are connected by a thin cable that goes around the back of the neck. The cable is very thin and hardly suitable as a neckband. It’s like a string.

A small slider lets you adjust the length of the cable for a comfortable fit. There’s a lot of Sennheiser branding throughout the product, but it doesn’t look ugly.

I tried and tested different audio tracks and videos on these headphones to test their responses to different music genres and sound reproductions.

The CX-120BT is a little different than other neckband wireless earbuds, but it doesn’t look bad at all. In fact, the black body with the Sennheiser logo with touches of red and silver adds a touch of luxury.

Despite being a budget headphone, the company has improved its throughput over Bluetooth, including support for Qualcomm’s aptX codec.

It also supports the aptX Low Latency codec which minimizes the delay between audio and video.

However, I must submit that supporting these codecs alone does not guarantee good sound output.

You can hear the caller clearly. But it doesn’t completely block environmental noise. Indoor call quality is very good.

The Bluetooth range of the CX-120BT neckband headphones didn’t much impress me. Going farther away from the 5-meter range starts lagging connectivity.

Pros
  • Very comfortable to wear
  • Indoor call quality is good
  • aptX, SBC, low latency codec support
  • Equipped with intuitive control buttons
Cons
  • Limited Bluetooth range
  • Average battery life
  • No noise isolation in outdoor call
  • Excessive Sennheiser branding looks overwhelming
